We had a brisk fall day but we were all happy with the weather, The
cattle were a lot of fun, the facility was first class. And the participants
were great! Lots of cheering and a great time had by all. A big Thank you go out
to Ken & Mary Oldenburger, Luann Kruger, Liz Ransom , Crystal Hoffman, Lloyd
& Melissa Christenson for all the help & Efforts! The day winded down with a pot
of hot chili, homemade bread & Yummy home made pies..

The event was a huge success, We had 88 teams
, wonderful weather, great facility, tough cattle, good food, and lots of
stiff competition! The weather cooperated & we had nice dry day for this
event. We'd like to Congratulate everyone who made the finals & thank
everyone for participating. We had the privilege of having "Out West" host &
sponsor our ranch sort again this spring. We even had Tim Hanson start the
show out with his wonderful voice singing the Star Spangle Banner & A
Cowboy prayer. The show went smoothly with Liz in the announcer stand (
doing a great job! I might add) Mary & Crystal our fearless timers, and of
course Ken judging all 108 runs! Thank you to those good people. We grilled
about 40 lbs of home grown beef burgers ( Hand fed right at Rocking K Ranch)
And believe it or not .... The night ended with Tim Hansen strumming the
guitar around the camp fire with everyone joining in to the tune of "Amazing Grace"
. Brain & Marj were very impressed with the condition of the
horses attending & the way people were proudly riding their Rocking K
Horses! We have great
pictures to share & this year even offer a CD of the complete event. If

the June 26th Sale.
* Outwest held their Open jackpot the day following our ranch sort, it was
another great show with 75 teams, The 2006 Arena record was set by Mike

Arena" Buffalo, MN.
We had a beautiful overcast mid
70's day for our Ranch Sort. The morning kicked off with a great lineup of
entries. Our families served up a Cowboy BBQ dinner, after a belly full
our constants got their horses ready to rumble!! We had a great set of horses
to fest your eyes on for the grand entry, The flag was proudly carried by
Steve Martin & Cody. Tim Hanson complimented the event
with his solo of the "Star Spangle Banner" and a "Cowboy Prayer". Shortly
after that.. the judge dropped the flag & the fun began. We had 68
teams riding for the prizes & money, We had a great mix of teams,
people & horses! It was great to see people teaming up together that had
never met until that day. There was lots of ewwwing & ahhhing, cheering &
shouting! Many exciting runs & some unbelievable moves made by a lot of
these horses!! It was truly a great time! We cannot thank
"OUTWEST ARENA" enough
for their hospitality and the donation of their beautiful facility & fun
cattle! The day was enjoyed by all competitors & spectators. Brian &
Myself were extremely proud of the riders & horses that competed at the
Rocking K Ranch Sort! We were so thrilled to see these people enjoying &
taking such pride in their horses! There was certainly a lot of "team work"
seen here with the rider & their horse! People commented how they got goose
bumps during the grand entry at the sight of these beautiful horses! We look
forward to doing it again!
